A scraper bar is viyal to the smooth operation and in this case, push motion of the snowblower. Since single stage snow blowers like this LAWNBOY 320R isn't self propelled, you push forward to blow snow. To prevent friction between the snowblower frame and the asphalt, there is a plastic scraper bar that acts like a slide buffer to dampen the friction. When the scraper bar has been used to the point where the plastic has worn to the bolts, they will cause more friction that you can't even push the machine smoothly. In this case, I could not salvage the used one by flipping it upside down or backwards because too much of the material has been worn out, and the bolts would scrape. I replaced it with another scraper from a similar machine. To adapt it to fit, I refilled holes to match this application and cut off the excess length. Good as new.
